Cicero once stated: "We are taxed in our bread and in our wine, in our incomes and our investments, on our land and on our property, not only for base creatures who do not deserve the name of man, but for foreign nations, for complacent nations who will bow to us and accept our largesse and promise to asist us in the keeping of the peace-these mendicant nations who will destroy us when we show a moment of weakness or when the treasury is bare, and surely it is becoming bare. We are taxed to maintain legions on THEIR soil...We keep them in precarious balance only with our gold...They take our very flesh and despise us."
That sounds JUST LIKE our foreign aid programs to the Palestinians who take our money and then cheer on 9/11.
Cicero was speaking to the Roman Senate about a term in their law code referring to the "general welfare" of the people and like our own Senate (and Congress), they were using the tax money taken from those who DO and giving it to those who REFUSE to DO! Indeed, Cicero must have had a vision of Hillary Clinton, Obama, and the rest of the liberals when he uttered: "all sorts of excesses can be employed by lusting tyrats to make us all slaves!"
It's evident that liberals and their socialist allies would LOVE to enslave the producers in America and shackle them to an income redistribution plan wherein OUR money goes to the lazy and stupid in our society. To buy votes, as Irving Slosberg did in Election 2000, buying votes among the bums, for a buck a pop, until he was busted by a Florida State Trooper.

Liberals LOVE to spend other people's money! It's as evident as Carville's chrome-dome in the noonday sun! Even now, both Obama and Hillary are touting an end to Bush's tax cuts and a hefty hike in our tax bill. What makes it so tempting to liberals, and their RINO buddies is that this money seems to be without an owner, having been taken from its rightful owners, to be given away to those who don't rate it! The Tax Foundation declared "Tax Freedom Day" for 2008 as April 23 and the average tax bite as a whopping 30.8%! That is thirty percent for Fed alone, not including State, City, and local taxes on our income!
FDR and his cronies pulled a fast one on the American people when Congress, in 1943, passed the Current Tax Payment Act, establishing the broad-based income tax withholding that has continued to this day and is universally hated by the American people. By withholding money that we never see, people will not complain. We have to wonder if Americans were to receive their pay and then, have to hand over Uncle Sam's cut in the next minute, if there would not be a wholesale revolt.
What is truly annoying to the Gunny is that the rich, take John Edwards for example, can use their lawyerese to shelter their money in offshore "S" corporations and family trust funds like Ted Kennedy has done, in order to avoid paying their fair share of taxes, all the while calling on US to do so! Whether or not one like a flat tax or the Fair Tax, it would prevent scum like Edwards and Kennedy from sheltering their money while pillaging and robbing ours! How simple would it be for an individual to pay their taxes, say, on 31 December, by getting a form, minusing off ten percent, and writing a check to the US Treasury. Done. No IRS. No loopholes. No deductions. No more power of the Feds over us, with audits, etc.
What liberals REALLY scam us on is the "corporation taxes." They crow about making corporations pay more yet are too stupid to realize that corporations and businesses pass those taxes on to, you guessed it, the consumer. Always have, always will. Thus, WE, the US Taxpayer, get screwed on income taxes and then screwed on taxes on everything we buy and the lying liberals and their RINO allies blow more hot air.
Back in 1993, some Senators introduced a flat tax bill that the Democrat-controlled House shot down without a moment's hesitation. Why? Simply because the Democrats LOVE TO TAX AND SPEND. They DO NOT want to simplify the TWENTY THOUSAND PAGE IRS tax code. They are like the Aztec priests of old, writing crap that the people cannot decypher and then telling them what it all means. And since the Democrat Party is full of nothing but lawyers, we can count on this crap to go on until the next revolution occurs.
The Orwellian tax code exists to oppress us, nothing more. If, say, a 10% flat tax were implemented, the following, according to economic experts, is likely to happen:
1. It will promote growth by increasing incentives for businesses to expand, investments to grow, and to increase production.
2. It would end the tax on capital gains, WHICH, by-the-way, comes from people who seek to invest their capital by starting businesses or expanding them, which leads to MORE JOBS! This, of course, is like anti-matter to liberals who seek to ENSLAVE people and keep businesses from running in the black. The more "victims" the liberals can create, the more votes they can buy and THAT is the bottom line.
3. It would end crap like "Earned Income Credit" which is nothing more than a fancy name for "robbing Peter to pay Paul."
4. It would be fair beyond a shadow of a doubt. No longer would WE have to pony up the dough while Ted Kennedy creates another family trust fund or John Edwards creates another "S" Corp in the Cayman Islands!
Let's realize right from the start that liberal's love Karl Marx, who was the first to discuss using progressive and confiscatory tax rates as a weapon on the middle and upper classes! And WHO is better at class warfare than the Liberals in America today? The Progressive Caucus in the Jackass Party, really nothing but a bunch of Socialist elites, are dead set on destroying our economy in order to usher in a European-type of economy, which, even a blind man can see, is crumbling faster than McCain's will at an "Amnesty Rally!"
In closing, we as Conservatives, MUST DEMAND two things from our Representatives. One, STOP OVERSPENDING! (That will send the RINOs packing.) Two, FIX the tax code and either implement a flat tax, the fair tax, or something better than the crap we got stiffed with by FDR. As Conservatives, we must keep up the pressure on our Reps to fix this, otherwise the fleecing of America will continue.
