The Gunny was out and about yesterday, on Veteran's Day, taking care of some business, and chatting with a few friends, one of whom was down in the dumps on the Red Queen Nanny Pelosi crapping out her guano-filled health care hostile takeover. THIS KIND OF THINKING MUST STOP! We've been down this road before my friends, many times in American history.
The initial successes and enthusiasm for the First War of Secession, better known as the American Revolution, faded into the freezing hell of Valley Forge, where we hung on by our fingernails. The cause BARELY survived but survive it did and that eventually led to Washington slipping the noose and forcing Cornwallis to surrender at Yorktown (with a little French help).
The same can be said about the Civil War. The initial Confederate gains led to Gettysburg and eventually the surrender at Appomattox. In fact, in almost every conflict America has fought in, we've started off down ten points in the fourth quarter, 3rd and 10, with only five minutes left on the clock, but we somehow turn the tide and win. Ask anyone who was old enough to know the deal in World War Two and they'll tell you that the beginning of 1942 was grim, with Japanese victories across the Pacific, until Doolittle bombed Japan in April 1942, followed by the tactical victory in the Coral Sea in May, and then the stunning victory at Midway in June! Indeed, the Pusan Perimeter in Korea in 1950, held by a few Marines, led to Inchon, which saved South Korea. All of the liberal pundits and a few Perfumed Princes mewled that Khe Sahn would fall. Wrong. Liberals boo-hooed that we were gonna get slaughtered going up against the 4th largest army in the world in 1990, well-supplied with Soviet equipment (turned out to be crap) and they were rolled up in four days. We've ALWAYS fought as the underdog and we always will, it's the American way.
Domestically speaking, consider that Conservatism was declared dead back in the 40's as the liberals ran the White House, the House, and the Senate. FDR even stacked the deck in the SCOTUS! Talk about your uphill fight. When WFB wrote his book, "God and Man at Yale," liberals thought they ran it all. Then came the National Review, Firing Line, and the ascendancy of Conservatism. Not Republicanism, but solid Conservatives espousing the values and beliefs codified by such people as Edmund Burke, Kirk, and later, Ronaldus Magnum, who showed liberalism to be the false ideology that it is, who spanked liberals time and again in debates, and who paved the way for Election 1980 where liberalism got its guts stomped out.
In 2006, after the GOP lost their way and became little more than liberal-lite, they were served up a shate sandwich by the leftists who had to lie like a rug in order to get into power. The Red Queen bleated that she was going to drain the swamp of corruption but in reality, opened the floodgates to it. Conservatism was not beaten, LIBERALISM RINO-style was beaten by their pals in the hard left. We were down, it's true. In 2008, we raised Cain about an idiot with less than 140 days in the Senate, who voted "present" about 200 times in the Illinois Senate, who voted to allow survivors of Roe v Wade to die cold and alone, and who was little more than a babe-in-the-woods getting elected, to no avail. The parasites like Peggy the Moocher, Henrietta Hughes, and the Orgasmatron down in Florida, Julio Osequeda ("Oh, gracious God, thank you so much!") had their way. Bread and circuses.
Think back to 1968. Bad days for the most part. LBJ was laying on the taxes for his War on Poverty, now 70 TRILLION dollars and still losing big, spoiled brats of the Greatest Generation tuned in, turned on, and dropped out (until the 80's when they Yuppied up), and the majority of decent Americans were silent. We watched as liberal spit on the troops who returned from Vietnam, hurled dirty diapers (probably their own) and invectives, and yelled "Gimme, gimme, gimme." as if we owed them something. We watched as they wiped their butts on the flag, burned it, spit on it, and trampled on it (see friend and mentor of Bur'aq al Obama below).
And we said little if anything about it. We were too busy working for a living, raising kids, serving the nation, and being Americans. It was a fad, they would wake up and smell the coffee we thought. We were wrong. Like a virus, they spread their filth, invaded government, schools, unions, etc. We were called the Silent Majority. The dark days of 1942 morphed into the dark days of 1968 which then morphed into the dark days in 2008 when liberals chortled that Conservatism was dead. Liberals went into an orgy of estacy in January 2009, when the Community Organizer-in-Chief was annoited. Our morale was lower than a liberal's ethics.
But something happened in America. The Silent Majority came alive. We realized that we'd been quiet too long. That we'd allowed the putrid left to run rampant too long. That we'd allowed the liberals to dumb down Americans, to lie cheat, and steal from us unopposed, and to trample the Constitution like they owned us. The Tea Parties marched in April much to the derision of the liberals, like Lord Haw-Haw or Tokyo Rose pinging the war effort, but the spark and the fuse had met. The Narcissist-in-Chief said he knew nothing about it but he did, and he did not like it. WE OPPOSED THE WON! We had, in effect, bombed DC from the deck of a carrier coming from Shangri-La. Conservative Americans suddenly realized THAT THEY WERE NOT ALONE! We marched yet again on Independence Day drowning out the libsheep's counterprotests, like we'd been doing this for decades (like the leftists HAVE!). The Leftists took note and they derided us yet again. Teabaggers.
Then came the Battle of Midway 2009. September 12, 2009, over ONE MILLION AMERICANS marched on DC to protest the actions of a corrupt and out of control House, Senate, and the Clown in the Red House. We FORCED them to take notice of us. We mobilized Americans to the point where Uber Blue State New Jersey booted a hardcore leftist even AFTER The Won campaigned for him numerous times. What happened Barry? The bloom off of the rose? In Ol Virginny WE CRUSHED all three libturds. Not beaten. Not spanked. CRUSHED! Even losing NY 23 was a victory for us as WE forced a RINO to drop out for a dark horse Conservative who, had the ballot been printed right (Scuzzy was still on it after dropping out), would have won. WE have held the leftist's feet to the fire on their Porkulous bill that did nothing to end the Obama Recession. We have fought them over their nationalization of the auto, banking, and energy industry and exposed the more rabid commies in their midst, i.e., Van Jones (another Obama buddy). Two brave Americans have forced Congress to defund ACORN and investigate them (the Red Queen is dragging her paws on it) but we've exposed Obama's old employer for the frauds that they are. (No ACORN aiding the 2010 Census!) WE exposed HR 1388, which mandated civilian service (against the 1st Amendment and 13th Amendment) for the scam it is. (Involuntary servitude and a 5% higher tax rate to pay for it). We EXPOSED Crap and Tax for the fraud it is and we're holding those who voted FOR it accountable. And we FORCED Obummer's health care hostile takeover from April to May to July to August to September, then October, and now MAYBE, next year, an election year. Dingy Reid is history and knows it as are many liberals in Congress (kamikazied by Rahmbutt the Ballerina, The Red Queen, and promises from the Liar-in-Chief).
The Silent Majority has MUCH to be proud of. We've started late, way behind, Alinskied by the Left in 2006 and 2008, with a Tokyo Rose Media, but we're winning, slowly but surely. We've taken it on the chin since the 60's and you don't gain back that much ground overnight but the tide's turned against the left. The 60's radicals are old and decrepit. Every day brings them a little bit closer to joining Ted Kennedy in the 9th level of Hell, where all leftists go. We're pushing them back and we've just gotten started. Our Valley Forge is over. As long as we stay engaged, stay alert, and don't give up, we'll win this fight. Will there be setbacks? You betcha. But rest assured, unless ACORN can mount a massive voter fraud in 2012, Barry's toast. This disconnected, indifferent, clown without an ounce of social skills, who hates America and Americans, and who puts it on display daily, the Ditherer-in-Chief, makes Carter looks ALMOST presidential. He's inept and incompetence, just like we said, and losing ground every day (45% approval yesterday according to Rasmussen), while our movement grows. The Red Queen, elected by freaks in the Land of Moveon.org, will be with us until Satan calls her home but we're getting shed of Reid. Liberals WILL lose control in 2010 and then again in 2012. Their meltdown will be one for the books. So........
