SEC. 115. PARTICIPATION OF STUDENTS AND TEACHERS FROM PRIVATE SCHOOLS.
(a) In General - To the extent consistent with the number of students in the State, in the territory, or served by the Indian tribe or in the school district of the local educational agency involved who are enrolled in private nonprofit elementary schools and secondary schools, such State, territory, or Indian tribe, or agency shall (after consultation with appropriate private school representatives) make provision for the inclusion of services and arrangements for the benefit of such students so as to allow for the equitable participation of such students in the programs implemented to carry out the objectives and provide the benefits described in this part; and for the training of the teachers of such students so as to allow for the equitable participation of such teachers in the programs implemented to carry out the objectives and provide the benefits described in this part.
The Federal Government is basically TELLING private schools to make provisions to abide by this bill. It is also telling teachers to be trained to carry out the objectives of this bill. What if the teacher(s) are against it? What if parents who send their kids to private schools don't WANT their kids involved with the Obama Youth? Will they be fined as allowed under Obama healthcare ($3800.00 fine for not having health insurance)? Will Obama's kids, going to the best private school money can by, be forced to "serve?"
SEC. 125. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES AND INELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS.
(a) Prohibited Activities- A participant in an approved national service position under this subtitle may not engage in the following activities:
(1) Attempting to influence legislation.
(2) Organizing or engaging in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes. (Violation of the 1st AM.)
(3) Assisting, promoting, or deterring union organizing.
(4) Impairing existing contracts for services or collective bargaining agreements.
(5) Engaging in partisan political activities, or other activities designed to influence the outcome of an election to any public office.
(6) Participating in, or endorsing, events or activities that are likely to include advocacy for or against political parties, political platforms, political candidates, proposed legislation, or elected officials. (5&6 are violations of the 1st AM)
(7) Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of religious
proselytization. (HUGE violation of the 1st AM)
(4) EXTENSION OF TERM FOR DISASTER PURPOSES-
(A) EXTENSION- An individual in an approved national service position performing service directly related to disaster relief efforts may continue in a term of service for a period of 90 days beyond the period otherwise specified.
Didn't liberals BIT*H and MOAN about the "Stop Loss" act in the US Military, yet it's okay for KIDS?
(1) Education Corps: The recipient may carry out national service programs through an Education Corps that identifies and meets unmet
educational needs within communities through activities such as those described in subparagraph (B) and improves performance on the indicators described in subparagraph (C). (B) Activities - An Education Corps described in this paragraph may carry out activities such as—‘‘(i) tutoring, or providing other academic support to elementary school and secondary school students; ‘‘(ii) improving school climate...
Is this not what TEACHERS and PARENTS are supposed to do? Why are children being used to tutor children? How is this linked to Obama's address to the kids of America that included such questions as: "How can I help the President accomplish his goals?" Improving school climate? What is that? Providing a cadre to "march" kids back and forth to class?
(4) VETERANS CORPS.— (A) IN GENERAL.—The recipient may carry out national service programs through a Veterans Corps that identifies and meets unmet needs of veterans and members of the Armed Forces who are on active duty through activities such as those described in subparagraph (B) and improves performance on the indicators described in subparagraph (C). (B) ACTIVITIES.—A Veterans Corps described in this paragraph may carry out activities such as— (i) promoting community-based efforts to meet the unique needs of military families while a family member is deployed and upon that family member’s return home; (ii) recruiting veterans, particularly returning veterans, into service opportunities, including opportunities that utilize their military experience; (iii) assisting veterans in developing their educational opportunities (including opportunities for professional certification, licensure, or credentials), coordinating activities with and assisting State and local agencies administering veterans education benefits, and coordinating activities with and assisting entities administering veterans programs with internships and fellowships that could lead to employment in the private and public sectors; ‘‘(iv) promoting efforts within a community to serve the needs of veterans and members of the Armed Forces who are on active duty, including helping veterans file benefits claims and assisting Federal agencies in providing services to veterans, and sending care packages to Members of the Armed Forces who are deployed.
The above is all covered by the Veterans Affairs, Military Groups like Navy Relief, the Red Cross, and the USO, who sends care packages to deployed units through the largesse of American citizens via donations. In subsection (ii) that alone scares the HELL out of the Gunny. What are they supposed to teach kids? If these kids want to join the military, then that is what BOOT CAMP is for!
SEC. 1506. TRAINING. Section 156 (42 U.S.C. 12616) is amended— (1) in subsection (a)— (A) by inserting ‘‘National’’ before ‘‘Civilian Community Corps’’; and (B) by adding at the end the following: ‘‘The Director shall ensure that, to the extent practicable, each member of the Corps is trained in CPR, first aid, and other skills related to disaster preparedness and response.
Does that include managing the relocation camps for citizens in an "emergency?" To the Gunny, Obama's nationalizing the banks, the auto industries, regulating CEO pay, and now pushing a youth service organization, that could eventually become MANDATORY, that bans religious freedom, the ability to protest, and the entire First Amendment smacks of Fascism along the lines of the Hitler Youth or the Brown Shirts. The liberals took out the mandatory service references in HR 1388 and inserted them in HR 1444 which was introduced on 11 March 2009. Example: "Whether a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people could be developed, and how such a requirement could be implemented in a manner that would strengthen the social fabric of the Nation and overcome civic challenges by bringing together people from diverse economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds." Looks like Obama is getting his Civilian National Security Force the liberal way, through incrementalism.

Folks, keep your eyes on the ball here. This administration and their minions in the Congress cannot be trusted. The camel's nose is ALREADY under the tent.
