WHERE IT ALL STARTED-The Shot Heard 'Round the World.

Let's reflect a moment, shall we, on why our forefathers, many of whom lived in the most powerful nation on earth at the time, Great Britain, up and left England to seek a place with which to live in civil and religious freedom. There were no 7-11's to drive to in order to get a cup of coffee, nor was there a Food Lion to be-bop into for your groceries for the week, no Burger King to drive through for your chow, NO!, our forebears had to EKE OUT A LIVING, with the sweat of their brow and sometimes with their blood, with little or no help from the nation they left. Thus hard work, guts, guns, God, and a pioneer spirit enabled them to settle in a land 3000 miles away from England, not government aid, assistance, welfare, social workers, etc. England, by-the-way, was about 5 weeks sailing time, ONE WAY, to put the distance into context.

Thus, when England, under George III, began to impose a heavy hand on these pioneers, they became angry. George III's approval rating went down, kinda like our Congress now (especially with Princess Nancy and Prince Reid in charge) and we were forced to take up arms against, really, the mother country! Can there be any doubt that some of the colonials were taking up arms against their kin? As the radical leftist children in Congress, soon to be aided and abetted by the affirmative action president, grind us under their heel, i.e., UAW bailout, mortgage bailout, 7 TRILLION dollars of debt for the payoff, ACORN fraud, Bribes, Scandals, etc, we find ourselves in 2008, 233 years after the fact, facing a tyrannical and out-of-control government once again.

February 1775: British Parliament declares Massachusetts to be in open rebellion. They were ordered to search for, seize, and destroy any and all of the rifles, pistols, ammunition, and powder they could find.

Dianne Feinstein: "Banning guns addresses a fundamental right of all Americans to feel safe."
Charles Schumer: "Once Brady is signed into law, we will have to go back and get this sunset [phaseout of the delay] undone." Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, November 11, 1993
Dianne Feinstein: "If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an out-right ban, picking up every one of them... 'Mr. and Mrs. America, turn 'em all in,' I would have done it." CBS-TV's "60 Minutes", February 5, 1995
William J. Clinton: "We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans to legitimately own handguns and rifles...that we are unable to think about reality." USA Today, March 11, 1993

Lt. Gen. Thomas Gage in early April, told his troops to destroy stores and kill the rebels. Gage figured that "Americans" were planning to collect enough arms to form a rebellion.

Lenin: "A system of licensing and registration is the perfect device to deny gun ownership to the bourgeoisie."
Hillary Clinton: "I stand in support of this common sense legislation to license everyone who wishes to purchase a gun. I also believe that every new handgun sale or transfer should be registered in a national registry."
Stalin: "If the opposition disarms, well and good. If it refuses to disarm, we shall disarm it ourselves."
Obama: "I believe in keeping guns out of our inner cities, and that our leaders must say so in the face of the gun manufacturer's lobby."

When Americans discovered the British plans, Revere and William Dawes were dispatched to warn the people about the British march to Concord. One Dr. Samuel Prescott joined Revere and Dawes in order to spread the word to the townspeople and a little after 0100, Revere was captured by the Brits, Dawes had to turn back, but Prescott got through to Concord. April 19, 1775, Lt. Col. Frances Smith and Maj. James Pitcairn to marched to seize the munitions in Concord and Lexington and at approximately 0130, they stepped off and by 0300, near Menotomy, Smith knew that the Americans knew his march was on and ordered Pitcairn ahead with 6 light companies to secure the bridges at Concord. It was 500 American militia against a lot of "lobsterbacks" by the time the Brits got there, there was only about 70 militia around, with 40 of them on the town's green with the other 30 scattered around the Common grounds and the nearby buildings.

Biden: "Banning guns is an idea whose time has come." Associated Press 11/18/93
Louis Freeh, FBI Dir: "The American people must be willing to give up a degree of personal privacy in exchange for safety and security." 1993.
Louis Freeh, FBI Dir: "The strongest gun legislation...I will enforce diligently and exhaustively."
Sarah Brady: "We must get rid of all the guns." Phil Donahue Show, September 1994 (with Sheriff Jay Printz & other gun grabbers)
Jenet "WACO" Reno: "Waiting periods are only a step. Registration is only a step."
Nelson Shields, Chairman, HCI: I'm convinced that we have to have federal legislation to build on. Our ultimate goal -- total control of handguns in the United States -- is going to take time. My estimate is from seven to ten years. The problem is to slow down the increasing number of handguns sold in this country. The second problem is to get them all registered. And the final problem is to make the possession of all handguns and all handgun ammunition -- except for the military, policemen, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs, and licensed gun collectors -- totally illegal." The New Yorker, July 26, 1976.

0500: Pitcairn ordered his men to double their ranks, load their muskets, and sent them into the town at a double quick march. British soldiers reached the community church at the southern end of the Common Green and Pitcairn ordered the militiamen to lay down their arms and disperse. Parker told his men not to disarm but to just disperse. No one knows who fired the "Shot heard 'round the World." The British soldiers immediately fired on the militia. The militia returned fire while they began to scatter for cover. (Cover is ALWAYS good) The British troops made a bayonet charge and swept the militia from the Common Green and began to break into houses when finally Smith and Pitcairn got their troops under control and re-established order. They reformed their men into columns and headed on towards Concord.

0700: The American militia shadowed the British advance. American commander Barrett and his men watched as the British entered Concord. Lt. Col. Francis Smith, the commander of the British expedition, assigned the task of securing the town to the grenadiers. He sent 1 company of light infantry to secure the South Bridge and 7 companies to the North Bridge. He chose to remain with the grenadiers in the town and kept Pitcairn, his second-in-command, with him. The grenadiers searched, seized, and destroyed the supplies by throwing them into a pond. (They were later retreived by the Americans).

Henry Cisneros: "What we need to significantly enhance public safety is domestic disarmament. Domestic disarmament entails the removal of arms from private hands. Given the proper political support by the people who oppose the pro-gun lobby, legislation to remove the guns from private hands, acts like the legislation drafted by Senator John Chafee [to ban handguns], can be passed in short order."
RINO Bloomberg: "I don't know why people carry guns. Guns kill people.
Former LA Mayor Tom Bradley: "Yes, I'm denying you your constitutional rights." (Save the Brady Bill rally)
Mary Ann Carlson (D-VT): "We must be able to arrest people before they commit crimes. By registering guns and knowing who has them we can do that... If they have guns they are pretty likely to commit a crime."

The American militia saw smoke rising from town as the grenadiers burned captured supplies and they decided to move into action. They planned to march back across the bridge into town to prevent its destruction. Barrett ordered: "Don't open fire until fired upon but then, fire as fast as you can."
The militia closed to within 300 yards of the North Bridge and the 3 companies of British light infantry. A messenger was sent into town to inform Smith of the situation and he returned with word that Smith was sending some reinforcements. The American militia was closing in on the British position who then retreated back across the bridge to the east side. The militia consisted of six companies: two from Concord, and one from Bedford, Lincoln, Acton and Carlisle and individual Minutemen came from Westford, Chelmsford and Littleton. As they closed in the British firing started. The militia shoot back as per their orders. The British returned a scattered fire and began to rout back to Concord.

John Chaffee (R-RI): "As you know, my position is we should ban all handguns, get rid of them, no manufacture, no sale, no importation, no transportation, no possession of a handgun."
William Clay (D-MO): "We need much stricter gun control, and eventually we should bar the ownership of handguns except in a few cases."
Bill Clinton: "every community in the country could then start doing major weapon sweeps and then destroying the weapons, not selling them."

The militia remained by the bridge, lining a stone wall along the road. Around noon, Smith and the British made final preparations for a return march. The militia that had been at the North Bridge as well as another hundred that had turned out from nearby towns had congretated at Meriam's Corner where the Lexington and Bedford roads forked. They fired upon the British column as it crossed a narrow bridge nearby and kept up an incessant fire on the British force along the entire route. The British shot back at shadows hitting nothing. As they neared Lexington, British morale and discipline were gone. The British Regulars were sometimes effective in reducing the militia firing with spotty cannon fire but four LONG hours after leaving Lexington, the British force reached Charlestown at 2000 (8PM), having played target for the militia along entire route. Over 6,000 militia and American minutemen then encircled the city and the Siege of Boston had begun. One British officer later wrote: "Had the relief column not shown up, we would have slaughtered to a man."

Mayor Richard (DICK) Daley: "If it was up to me, no one but law enforcement officers would own handguns."
Mikey Dukakis: "You know I don't believe in people owning guns, only the police and military. And I'm going to do everything I can to disarm this state."

The colonists were stunned by their success. One Minuteman later wrote: "I believe we could have killed all most every officer there was in the front."

Rudolph Giuliani: "Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do."
Al Gore: "These automatic, semiautomatic handguns and assault weapons, they really have no place in our society."
Al Gore: "We don't need more concealed weapons in our malls, in our movie theaters, and our streets. We need fewer concealed weapons in our society."
Himmler: "Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA - ordinary citizens don't need guns, as their having guns doesn't serve the State."
Hitler: "I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty."
John Kerry: "I don't believe that assault rifles ought to be sold in America."
In fact, the assault weapons ban will have no significant effect either on the crime rate or on personal security. Nonetheless, it is a good idea...
Ann Landers Director of Handgun Control, Inc: "No one has the right to destroy another person's belief by demanding empirical evidence." (Whew! WHAT a MOONBAT!)
Lenin: "One man with a gun can control 100 without one. Make mass searches and hold executions for found arms."
Mike Roos (D-CA): "To hell with the constitution." (On the Constitutionality of the Roberti-Roos assault weapon ban 1989)
In closing, it should be apparent to all Americans that the attack on our rights comes in many guises but the most direct attack WILL be on YOUR GUNS! Period. End of story. The Revolution started over the attempt by the British to force absolute gun confiscation on us! In America today, we see gun grabbers of all kinds, from RINOs like the putrid Chafee and the bald Hillary (Guiliani) to hardcore commies like Obama and Lenin. Indeed, the very clown who just yesterday, demanded that a black man be picked to replace Obama's Senate seat (presumably from now until eternity), one moron named Bobby Rush, a former Black Panther, stated, "My staff and I right now are working on a comprehensive gun-control bill. We don't have all the details, but for instance, regulating the sale and purchase of bullets. Ultimately, I would like to see the manufacture and possession of handguns banned except for military and police. But that's the endgame. And in the meantime, there are some specific things that we can do with legislation." and this should be a warning to those who cherish liberty and freedom.

You may not like firearms but that does not allow you the right to impose your will on others! Edmund Burke once stated, "For evil to triumph only requires that good men to do nothing." and that is the root of the issue. Non gun owners may shrug and say, "I don't own a gun who cares," but what happens when what you cherish is banned? We see the government is totally out of control now. They have the "ban" bug. They banned cigarettes and non-smokers said "YEAH BABY!" and they ban transfats and the food monitors cried, "YEAH BABY" and never once saw the path the Colossus was treading. Liberals discuss banning talk radio with the Censorship, oops, Fairness Doctrine, and liberals scream, "YEAH BABY" thinking it will end Rush and Hannity, but miss the big picture that THEIR freedom of speech is also being limited. This government no longer listens to the will of the people and indeed, it appears that the dumbed down (thanks NEA) American population think that THEY exist to serve the Federal Colossus when it is the other way around. THEY serve US! Yet, when they plan to spend SEVEN TRILLION DOLLARS in PAYOFFS, which looks like THIS written out: 7,000,000,000,000, no one really cares, they b*tch, they moan, but have we marched on DC yet? Have we held these bums accountable? No. When the people finally get angry enough to march on DC, let us remember that THEY fired the first shot at us and we'll be acting in the gutsy footsteps of our forebears who stood for freedom, not on bended knee in slavery.

At the bottom line of the ENTIRE ISSUE is that Liberals have dug in their heels in order to defend the intellectually untenable position of gun control. Armed Americans threatens their ideology. Americans exercising their God-given right to self-defense threatens their control. Remember, the more self-reliant you are, the more individualistic you are, the less power Liberals have over you! When you defend hearth and home against criminal intrusion, Liberals lose a part of their ability to dictate to you. We must always remember that Liberal ideology is firmly anchored upon the principle that people are needy, helpless "workers" who must a large government, (run by Liberals of course) to care and feed them like pets. After all, even Dingy Reid thinks we're smelly little proles. When we stand up for ourselves, it is a direct contradiction of the Liberal philosophy of nanny-statism and power elitism. Liberal power fears an armed citizenry acting under the Law of the Land, that is, the Constitution. READ IT! KNOW IT! BE ABLE TO DISCUSS IT and you will defeat liberalism every time. Know it not, and you'll fall prey to them every single time.

Henry Waxman (D-CA): "If someone is so fearful that, that they're going to start using their weapons to protect their rights, makes me very nervous that these people have these weapons at all!" (Henry, ugly and stupid is NO WAY to go through life.)
Stalin: "Ideas are more dangerous than guns. We wouldn't let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas?
