I love my guns. I love everything about them. From the craftsmanship that went into some of the ones I have, to the military history of some others, Big Daddy Garand to name one. I'm not bragging, any marksman will they you that they take great pleasure in being able to hit a target with consistentcy, and I'm no different. Throughout the entire shooting process, from loading, getting into position, the smell of gun oil and linseed oil sharp in your nostrils, the feel of the trigger as your finger slides into a well-worn position, seeing the target come into stark relief in the rear sight and the front sight post settling into "center mass", the slowwwwwwwww pull of the trigger, and finally the shot, coming as a surprise, (because you were focusing on that front sight post so intently) and, of course, the bullseye. Then, the smell of the cordite in the air. Only sex is better.
Best of all, is watching my son, wearing my old Marine Corps shooting jacket, busting caps with Big Daddy Garand, and doing a d*mn good job of it too. By the time I send him to boot camp, he'll OWN that frigging range.
Now to task. RINO Rudy, NY's former gun grabber-in-chief. I don't trust politicians farther than I can throw Rosie O'Donnell. In fact, The Great Communicator once stated: "Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first." He was dead-on, as usual.
Recently, the Boston Globe stated that Giuliani was pledging "he would punish gun-toting criminals harshly while leaving law-abiding gun owners alone." REALLY?
Just a mere six years ago, Giuliani supported Federal gun licensing and only one year before THAT stated that 86 to 88 percent of the guns sold in the United States should not be sold because gun makers "would have to know that they are supplying an illegal market."
Rudy ALSO sued gun makers so that the city could recoup its costs of dealing with crime! He also broke with the Reagan administration during congressional testimony on a gun control bill and did it OPENLY!
My friends, RINO Rudy is a liar. His recent speech at an NRA meeting proves it.
On gun control: "My position is the law should be left the way it is now. Given the level of crime in this country, I think the emphasis and the energy should be spent on enforcing the laws that presently exist, and if changes in the law are necessary later, that'll respond to other social conditions. I think the single most important thing that the next president has to do is to organize an effort in the Department of Justice and with state and local law enforcement to work in a cooperative way to enforce the laws that presently exist. After we do that, and we see the impact of that, then we can take a look at whether new laws are necessary; they may or may not be.
Simply speaking, RINO Rudy stated: We're gonna enforce the laws and if we need more, we'll simply pass them. And since RINO Rudy has frequently
blamed crime on guns and that gun control reduces crime, it's a SURE BET that RINO Rudy has gun grabbing on his mind.
Another great Giuliani quote is: "the single biggest connection between violent crime and an increase in violent crime is the presence of guns in your society...the more guns you take out of society, the more you are going to reduce murder. The less guns you take out of society, the more it is going to go up." Uh, yeah. Right. And about D.C. Mr RINO?
RINO Rudy is also well practiced in the art of moonbattery uttering this astonding pound of bullsh*t in regards to NYC's crime reduction in the 1990's: "the single biggest factor was taking guns off the street." Noted Second Amendment scholar Dr John Lott pointed out, "There is no academic research by economists or criminologists that indicates that gun control mattered at all."
In other words, RINO Rudy is pumping out bilge water.
RINO Rudy has also stated that he was "wrong" on initiating his lawsuits against gun makers that led to RINO Bloomberg's illegal out-of-state gun stings. Sorry Rudy, that is ALSO BULLSH*T! He NEVER came out and SAID they were wrong, only that the twists and TURNS that they took were wrong. When do we start suing the farmer for making the hog, that became sausage, that gave me a heart attack?
In closing, RINO Rudy has stated one more than one occasion that OUR Constitution and God-given rights allow for “REASONABLE” regulations to accomplish some other goal, such as public safety. That is liberalese for: "we're gonna do whatever we want to, to keep you people in line." Also, what is reasonable to a politician who has his own driver, his own bodyguards, etc, is NOT going to be reasonable to those of us who live our lives sans those wonderful things. Those of us who HAVE to work nights, make night bank drops from our businesses, go to the ER at zero dark-thirty, etc, and have to contend with criminals that said politicians keep releasing into our midst, may NEED our guns...God forbid!
If the GOP puts this lying, gun-grabbing sack of sh*t on the ticket in Nov 08, I'm writing my own name on the ballot. I will not vote for a gun-grabber and neither should you...unless you're a Dhimmicrat.
And Rudy, to quote a man far greater than you:
"From my cold dead hands!"
