I wanted to post this out there for TH'ers to review. The official review of the Sandy Burglar's theft of and unauthorized and illegal destruction of Top Secret documents that probably highlighted his and his boss' incompetence in preserving US National Security.
Let me refresh your memory here. The UNAUTHORIZED removal/disclosure of classified material is a FELONY up to 10 years in Prison. Perjury is a FELONY. The general perjury statute under Federal law provides for a prison sentence of up to FIVE years, and is found at 18 U.S.C..
Check THIS travesty of justice out.
Howard Harner, of Staunton, Virginia, pled guilty on May 27 to stealing over 100 letters from the National Archives. Letters from Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, and other historical figures. He sold the letters through Ebay. Harner will spend the next two years in prison for this crime in addition to paying a $10,000 fine.
“This sentence sends a very clear signal that theft of cultural property?will not be tolerated,” said U.S. Archivist Allen Weinsten, after the sentence was announced. Fine.
Former Clinton National Security Advisor Sandy Berger pled guilty on April 1 to smuggling five classified documents, including a highly secret memorandum (We call that TOP SECRET), out of the National Archives related to the Clinton administration’s response to terrorism. Berger, who was preparing for his testimony before the 9/11 Commission at the time, later destroyed the documents, shredding them with scissors at his office, and lied to investigators. UNAUTHORIZED REMOVAL AND DESTRUCTION of CLASSIFIED INFORMATION AND PERJURY!
The Feds throw the book at a man for stealing and selling 150 year-old letters, and then let another off the hook for stealing and shredding top-secret government documents. Guess Velcro-Fly Clinton still has some "pull" in DC.
WHY IS SANDY BERGER NOT ROTTING IN FEDERAL PRISON?

Thanks Sandy! If the public
had found out that WE
ignored terrorism, my
legacy would be SUNK!
